Map for Matilda's Off Market Salon and Parking Tips for area
Parking is available in these areas:
FIRST AREA - On both sides of Shipley Street, between Third and Second, parking is available for free but with a 2 hour time limit. Please do not park in a FIRE ZONE, NO PARKING AT ANYTIME ZONE, or LOADING ZONE. PARKING IN EITHER ZONE WILL RESULT IN FINES. These zones are closer to Second Street and at the corners of Shipley and Third Streets and are marked as such.
SECOND AREA - Third Street between Shipley and Market is metered, 25 cents for 15 minutes, with a 2 hour limit also. We do not pay for parking or validate for Third Street , but we will make change for you.
SATURDAY PARKING - Up for grabs, parking is free on all streets with no 2 hour limit, but FIRE ZONE, NO PARKING AT ANY TIME, and LOADING ZONE REGULATIONS STILL APPLY!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS INFO AS PARKING FINES START @ $40.00
Tickets show 35 offenses for which apparently the city is ticketing at all hours, not just during daytime. Here are a few others that cost $40: Parked more than 12 inches from the curb, driving in the wrong direction, feeding a parking meter, offering a vehicle for sale on the street. Fines go up to $50 for double parking; $55 blocking a driveway; $60 parked in a tow-away zone or in a bus stop/taxi zone; $100 non-emergency repairs; $115 parked in a handicapped zone; and $140 parked in a fire zone.
